By the Power of Grayskull!

It's been a while since I posted any updates on the He-Man project, so I thought I'd fill you in on what's happening!

Currently I am about a 3/4 of the way through shooting the one-off pilot, and all of my vices have been recorded so that recording can begin in earnest! The majority of the other roles have already been cast and I can't wait to see how the images and the vocals come together. I am incredibly pleased with how the footage has come out so far but it is going to be a very tricky one to edit with lots of green screen and masking work needed. 

The images accompanying this article show off the largest set I have ever built for any animation. It measures five foot long, three foot deep and just over two foot tall! It's a bit of a tricky one to record in, but it's an impressive set piece. 

The exterior of Castle Grayskull will form the centre of a battle between the heroic Masters of the Universe and Skeletor's Evil Warriors. Once these scenes have been recorded filming will take place within the castle walls and then all of the green screen work.

As of yet there is no release date scheduled, but I shall be posting more updates as editing begins! 

Masters of the Universe Classics: Castle Grayskull - Production Model

A little bit behind on this one, but I know there aren't many MotU fans who peruse this page; Scott 'Toyguru' Neitlich has posted a video of the final Castle Grayskull playset from the classics line. The video speaks for itself. It's incredible. The paint job is fantastic and it is going to look insane when displayed. I cannot wait to take my collection of the shelves and display them in some massive battles for the Castle!

Fingers crossed this should arrive in time for christmas (what an epic christmas morning that'll be) and I may even review it. Just because it's so super special an amazing.

Of course if you're a Doctor Who fan, this could work perfectly with your Linx and 3rd Doctor!

What, more He-Man!? Yeah, sorry about that Whovians but this is too cool not to talk about. Mattel's upcoming Castle Grayskull playset, in scale with the 6" Classics figures. Now this thing stands over 20" tall, and just to give you an idea of just how huge this thing is...

On the left is the new playset alongside the Vintage, 200X and Iconic Heroes versions. Outside of the new castle you can see a little green guy, Castle Grayskullman to the uninformed, who is 6". So from that you can do the maths on just how massive this thing is!

I'm going to need a whole room to display this thing!? Now it doesn't come with everything you see here, and some of the figures have been displayed in some pretty cookey ways, but you get the idea. Off the top of my head the castle features:

• Working Elevator
• Opening Jawbridge, unlocked by the Power Sword
• Two secret doors
• Trap Door
• Dungeon
• Secret chamber housing the Orb of power
• Throne, flag and turret
• Ladder, two new weapons, combat training device, jetpack
• Assorted clips to house weapons, metal chains to lock up intruders

As I say there could be more, but this is all I can remember off the top of my head. It looks incredible and I can't wait for it to arrive in time for Christmas!

If that's not enough, the box art is beautiful. Utterly stunning work!

Note the man 'playing' with the castle in the bottom left image, after all this is an Adult Collector line!
